Plan is an International, Child Centered
Community Development Organization with no religious, political, or government
affiliation. Plan Pakistan is a member of its global network of 66 Countries
working with 10 million children, women and men. Plan Pakistan began its
programs in Pakistan in 1997 and is currently working in Chakwal, Islamabad and
Vehari. Plan implements its programs and projects at the grassroots level in
Health, Education, Water and Sanitation, Income Generation, and Building
Relations.
Currently, Plan Pakistan is working with a number of partner NGOs and CBOs to implement programs. We have a thorough procedure in place for the selection of partners. This selection mechanism provides opportunity to both Plan and the partner to engage in a dialogue on the basis of information about each other before entering into formal agreement.
Plan is currently looking for a competent partner organization for its
capacity building component of the Disaster Risk Management project. The
capacity building component of the project will mainly focus on the capacity
building of local implementing organizations and government functionaries that
is inline with the priorities outlined in National Disaster Management Framework
of NDMA and other global commitments like Hyogo Framework of Action, 2005. These
local civil society organizations/implementing partners and government
functionaries will be capacitated to undertake the Child Centered Disaster Risk
Reduction activities in each district identified by the project. The project
districts include; Layya, Rajanpur, Muzafargarh and Vehari from Punjab and
Khairpur, Thatta and Ghotki from Sindh.
